The Tokyo Marui MP7 A1 is an airsoft replica that is based on the MP7A1 by Heckler & Koch. This PDW (meaning Personal Defence Weapon) dates from 1999 and was developed to deliver high energy and armour penetrating capabilities over short distances.
This replica comes with a recoil engine that provides heavy recoil. The engine is driven by a large piston of 16 mm and does not consume more gas than usual. The semi-auto and full-auto firing modes can be selected on both sides of the replica with the ambi operable selector, just like the mag release that is integrated in the trigger guard.
As with the real firearm, the replica can be disassembled in the field, the foregrip can be folded in, and the stock can be extended to four positions. Weaver/Picatinny rails on both sides and in full length on top of the replica, offer space for sights and accessories, and the already mounted front and rear sight can be altered to adjust the point of impact, and folded up to provide standard sights.
Lastly, we mention a handy feature that is unique to the Tokyo Marui MP7 A1: the trigger can be pushed forward to reveal a rotary dial in the ejection port, which can be used to adjust the hop up mechanism.
