The thrust ball bearing gives the spring the opportunity to twist during compression and rebound, this will minimalize the torsion in the spring providing for a better longevity and a better performance.

The Maxx Model Thru-Hole spring guide is made of tough stainless steel and light aluminium. The hollow tube has an M5 thread to secure the spring guide securely to the buffer tube.
