The Sig Sauer Cross has been developed from the ground up, to a rifle suited for both long distance shooting and hunting, with the help of experts in said fields. Its bare-bones design makes for a light-weight rifle of just 2940 grams, which enables easy handling and mobility for the shooter.
Sig Sauer moderators can easily be attached to the Taper-lok system, and with some help of the included Taper-lok adapter third-party moderators can too. Its match-grade barrel is made of stainless steel, and in this case of .308 Winchester calibre, features a length of 16 inches (406 mm). Swapping barrels can be done with just some help of an AR wrench, and the forend is independent of the barrel and features M-LOK slots around it to accommodate accessories.
The one-piece receiver of the Sig Sauer Cross features a replaceable Weaver/Picatinny rail, a sturdy base to accommodate optics and sights. Besides the ambidextrously operable safety catch, the Cross comes with a two-stage, match-grade trigger of which the trigger weight can be adjusted from 2 to 4 lbs (900 to 1800 grams).
The collapsible stock features a comb and butt pad that are adjustable in height, adjustable length of pull, and an attachment point on both sides for a sling. By collapsing the stock, the now compacted rifle not only is transported easier, but the bolt is also locked in to prevent it from accidentally being engaged.
