Pocket Knife Kershaw Platform
The Kershaw Platform is one of those pocket knives that will first have you frown, but that will prove to be very useful in daily life.
The blade is made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel with a nice hardness that makes it easy to sharpen while its edge retention would normally be found in a higher price range. The sheepsfoot shape makes the blade perfect for cutting actions where you need to prevent pricking, such as when opening parcels, doing woodwork or even cutting clothing at recue operations to name an extreme.
The handle consists of an FRN front scale with grippy swirling texture. FRN is very strong and water resistant. The rear is made from stainless steel and it’s also where we find the big surprise of this Kershaw Platform, as it features a nail clipper and a file with nail edge cleaner.
Of course, this makes the Kershaw Platform perfect for a manicure, but when you think outside the box, you’ll discover a nail clipper is an extremely versatile tool and the same goes for the file. When fishing, a clipper is often used to cut lines and whoever has tried to cut through a tie-wrap, will know a clipper will do the job better, quicker and especially more safely.
