Moderator FOX Silencer 600 Over Barrel

This FOX Silencer 600 Over Barrel moderator is a quality Dutch product that has been engineered cleverly, which makes it suitable for high energy air rifles, and can (partially) be slid over and screwed onto a barrel because of its inner recess with a depth of 80 mm. 

The moderator distinguishes itself by being completely machined from one piece of high quality aluminium. To be clear, this includes all the compartments, walls, et cetera. The advantage of this is the fact the inside can’t deform by pressure waves and thanks to the smartly engineered chamber walls, there’s no need for damping felt, which, with time, would lose its dampening abilities under influence of shockwaves and oils.

Because the internals of the FOX Silencer 600 Over Barrel moderator are machined from a solid piece of aluminium, which results in quite a piece of art, the moderator consists of only three main components: the mentioned one-piece internals, the sleeve and a locknut. Between these parts, o-rings are inserted to keep everything airtight where it needs to be. These o-rings should be placed with a bit of acid-free grease.

Mounting the FOX Silencer 600 Over Barrel moderator is simple as there are no tools needed, you just place it on the barrel and tighten it by hand. As happens with all products mounted on the muzzle, there will be a slight shift in the point of impact. That’s why we always recommend to re-zero your air rifle once after mounting a moderator.

The FOX Silencer 600 Over Barrel moderator has a length of 245 mm and a diameter of 40 mm. It’s suitable for airguns with a maximum energy of 600 Joule.

Please note: The maximum outer diameter of a barrel over which the moderator can be slid is 18.5 mm. However, the diameter of the opening can be increased to a maximum of 20.5 mm by increasing the inner diameter of the piece of Delrin that’s inside slightly with a lathe (should be done by someone with experience).
